Mindanao Peacebuilding Institute (MPI) Accepting Applicants for 2016 Training

The Mindanao Peacebuilding Institute (MPI) is now accepting applicants for its 17th Annual Peacebuilding Training from May 16 to June 3, 2016, in Davao City, Philippines.
Take part in one of the best and most well established peacebuilding training institute in Asia and the Pacific!
Now in its 17th year, MPI has trained almost 1,800 peacebuilders coming from more than 40 countries around the globe. It is a resource for grassroots peacebuilders: providing skills, conducting research, and building solidarity in the Asia-Pacific region.

Share, learn, and enhance your knowledge and skills in courses that explore major themes and cutting-edge debates in areas such as conflict transformation, peace education, collective memory, religious peacebuilding, and trauma healing. These intensive courses are taught by a distinguished roster of facilitators from Asia-Pacific and other parts of the world. You may choose to enroll for one, two or three weeks. 
Three new courses will be offered in MPI 2016 – Introduction to Transitional Justice: Processes, Mechanisms and Practice, Peacebuilding and the Narratives of the Past: Collective Memory and Peace History as Conflict Transformation Tools; and Culture and Identity in Conflict and Peacebuilding.
If you submit your application on or before March 4, 2016, you will receive an Early-Bird discount of US$50 or PhP2,200! The deadline for the receipt of regular applications is on April 1, 2016.
